The distribution ceremony at Starshine Academy was awesome. The
Mayor's office was there. Cameras from Trinity Broadcasting
Network and ABC. Reps from BSA and GSUSA. The Peace Light is

The Peace Light made it to Sacramento tonight. Thanks to Scouters in the Sequoia and Greater Yosemite Council for moving it to us. We had a nice turn out of Scouters. A family from Reno was also in attendance. They were in Germany last year to participate in a Peace Light Ceremony. Dan Garvin and Jody Knill will transport the PL to Redding where it will be met by Lorellen Nausner of the Peace Church in Seattle. |

On the evening of 12/11/2013 the
Peacelight was offered to Ukrainians that gathered for a candle
light vigil at the Ukrainian National Home of Hartford.
Members of the Ukrainian American Community of Connecticut
shared news of the latest developments in Kyiv's Independence
Square demonstrations and prayed for peace. |

Today I met with 2 Latvian scout representatives from Boston
and 4 scouts from Southbury, CT . In the picture starting

and Aivars are the Latvians from Boston. |

Fr. Paul Luniw of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Terryville, CT welcomes the Peace light brought by Petro Gluch and places it in the vigil lantern after a brief prayer service. |

Very Rev. Pawlo Martyniuk of St. Michael The Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hartford, CT receives the peace light from PLAST members Petro, Nadia, Christina and Melania Gluch. It was placed on the main altar and additional distributions to parishioners will be available after liturgies. All students at the adjacent Ukrainian School received an information card and candle infused with the spirit of the Peace Light. |

On December 6th Venture Crew 55 from Middleton / Farmington, NH, met Gretchen Osgood in Epping, NH, so they could receive the flame and bring it back to churches in their area. |

Bob Butcher from the Stratham (NH) Boy Scout Troop 185 received the Peace Light on December 6th. Bob's troop, together with Scouts from two other Stratham troops, will be presenting the Peace Light to area churches. |
 |
On Sunday, December 8th, Brenda Smith received the Peace Light flame at Bedford Presbyterian Church on behalf of Boy Scout Troop 69 in Laconia, NH. The Scouts plan to share it with Sacred Heart Church in Laconia. |

Karen Rose, the BSA District Commissioner for the Sunapee District (Daniel Webster Council, NH), received the flame in Concord, NH, to take back for a Peace Light ceremony in Meriden, NH, on 12/14 at 10:30am. |

The East Freetown Congregational Christian
Church in East Freetown, MA, received the Peace Light from
Gretchen Osgood on 12/14 and will be sharing it at a service on
12/15. |
