Alan Strohmaier
A 1962 Eagle Scout from the Southeast Iowa Council, I have been
active in Scouting since I was a Cub Scout in the Pack where my
father was Cub Master. In 1966 I received my Order of the
Arrow Vigil designation following being called out in the Tribe
of Mic-O-Say in 1962. I served as Cub Master and Assistant
Scoutmaster for my son’s pack and troop and witnessed him
receive his Eagle Scout Award in 1996. I received my
Silver Beaver in February of 1999 and have been the Mid Iowa
Council’s Jamboree chairman for 2010 and again for the upcoming
2013 Jamboree. I attended the 1964 Jamboree as a youth,
the 1993 Jamboree as an assistant scoutmaster and 2001 and 2005
as a member of the Arena Show Staff. It is an honor to
coordinate the Peace Light coming to Central Iowa and to show by
example of the Twelfth Point of the Scout Law. |
